Guerrero is one of the most marginalized states in Mexico. Birthplace of historical social oraganizations and famous guerrillas, the reality of some of the poorest municipalities in Latin America is mixed with that of the most violent cities in the country: Acapulco, Chilapa and Tierra Caliente. In the Mountain region, the me'e paah, amuzgo, naa savi and nahua people have created their own security and justice system based on their "uses and customs": the Community Police.
